Become an ambassador
YBA is built entirely by Ambassadors. Everything we do – the events, the content, the community, the relationships with industry bodies – exists because people like you chose to give their time to it.
Being an Ambassador means actively looking for opportunities and advocating for young business analysts; in your workplace, your network and the wider industry. It’s about representing what YBA stands for, wherever you go.
Responsibilities
- Real relationships with business analysts and BA managers across the industry, the kind that come from working alongside people, not just following them on LinkedIn
- Visibility in the BA community before you’ve built a long CV
- Experience you can speak about in interviews: leading workstreams, producing content, coordinating events
- First access to opportunities that come through our network, including conference tickets, industry book reviews and introductions
- A path into the YBA leadership team
The people who get the most from YBA are the ones who help build it.
What we’re looking for
We don’t need people who can do everything. We need people who can own something – one workstream, one responsibility – and follow through on it. Reliability, accountability and passion matter more than experience.
Here are some examples of where Ambassadors are currently making an impact, though if your skills or interests don’t fit neatly into one of these, we’d still love to hear from you:
- Writing or coordinating contributors
- Marketing and social content
- Events support
- Website and digital
- Partnerships and industry outreach
Not sure where you’d fit? That’s fine. Tell us a bit about yourself and we’ll figure it out together.
A note on paid memberships
There are paid professional memberships in the BA world, and for the right person at the right career stage they can be worth the money.
YBA is something different: free, early-career focused, and built around doing rather than subscribing.
If you’re still finding your feet in BA, this is the place to start. If you later choose to invest in a paid professional membership, you’ll do it with real experience and real relationships behind you.
